Many people change their eating habits as they age or experience a loss of spouse. It becomes more of an effort to prepare good nutritious meals for only one. Encouraging Seniors to attend nutrition programs at senior centers and home-delivered meals will increase daily intake. Another effective method is to invite the person to eat out when possible. This will also increase social contacts decrease loneliness.
